Task Analysis of a Clinical Database as a Means to Validate Non-invasive Assessment of Intracranial Pressure Using the Cerebral and Cochlear Fluid Pressure (CCFP) Analyzer
Short Title: CCFP Data Mining
Responsible HRP Element: Human Health Countermeasures
Supporting Org(s):
Space Medicine Medical Operations/NASA JSC
Funding Status: Active - Task currently funded
Procurement Mechanism(s):
Direct Contract
Aims:
Correlate tympanic membrane displacement (TMD) analysis with lumbar puncture (LP) data in a retrospective blinded cohort analysis of approximately 1000 clinical cerebral and cochlear fluid pressure (CCFP) device data points; evaluate its potential as a surrogate measure to the clinical gold standard (LP), and 2. Determine the age-dependent distribution of cochlear aqueduct patency in this patient population.
Integration/Unique Aspects:
None
Mappings
RiskRisk of Spaceflight-Induced Intracranial Hypertension/Vision Alterations
