Task 2019 NSCOR: Integrated Systems Biology - Risk Modeling using Biomarker approaches for Individualized Risk Assessment
Last Published:  12/21/16 11:56:30 AM (Central)
Short Title: Systems Bio Risk Model
Responsible HRP Element: Space Radiation
Collaborating Org(s):
Funding Status: Planned-Unfunded - Task not within current budget
Procurement Mechanism(s):
Solicited
Aims:
Aim 1: Develop multi-scale modeling components focused on major networks or pathways relevant to space radiation induced cancer development across multiple levels of biological organization that can be incorporated into larger system constructs.

Aim 2: Develop multi-scale models supporting risk prediction of carcinogenesis from exposure to a low dose-rate, mixed field space radiation environment.

Aim 3: Development of integrative ‘omics’ techniques and systems biology approaches to support the identification of biomarkers for early disease detection, health monitoring, and improvements in individualized risk prediction.
