Risk Statement
Given the known occurrence of solar particle events (SPE) and the inability to predict their occurrence, there is a possibility the crew will suffer from acute radiation sickness (ARS) with the highest likelihood of prodromal symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and fatigue as well as skin damage, and potential hematological/immune changes resulting in LOM if adequate shelter cannot be reached in a timely manner.
