Aims:
- To construct a model that mathematically predicts the probability of head injury during a space flight mission to the International Space Station (ISS)
- To provide head injury probability data for standardized reference ISS mission scenarios to the parent IMM model at JSC in the appropriate data format
- To perform a sensitivity analysis to determine which input variables have the most effect on the probability of head injury, and to use the results to refine the input data for future model versions
- To validate the head injury model using terrestrial and space flight injury data
Category:
Technology or Tool
Subcategory:
Computational Models or Simulations
Description:
The deliverable is a probability density function of the most likely probability of head injury during a space flight mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The delivery contributes to the closure of Gap 2.01 by addressing interim stage 8.
