Aims:

Specific aim 1: To use a hypovolemia model (furosemide infusion) to simulate cardiovascular deconditoning observed after short duration spaceflight and bed rest simulations of space flight.


Specific aim 2: To determine effects of Artificail Gravity (AG) exposure on the orthostatic tolerance limit (OTL) of cardiovascularly deconditioned women and men.


Specific aim 3:To determine mechanisms associated with AG exposure-induced changes in OTL of cardiovascularly deconditioned women and men.
