Category:
Risk Characterization, Quantification
Subcategory:
Evidence or Risk Characterization
Description:
Literature review and integration of findings of prior studies examining the relationship between factors included in selection and resulting performance and teamwork outcome criteria. This includes both studies conducted with a focus on the spaceflight environment as well as those conducted with a focus on exploration analogs (e.g., Antarctica, Naval submarine teams). Promotes gap closure by addressing metric for interim progress (4) Solicit studies to determine how well each of the historically robust psychological measures for employee selection predict astronaut performance/selection criteria among individuals similar to astronauts; doing work similar to astronauts; and for performance similar to long duration missions.
