Aims:
Validate sensorimotor standards permissible outcome limits (POL) by comparing the performance on exploration field measures with performance on operational tasks involving crew egress and manual control. The exploration field measures will include subjective reports (motion sickness and illusory motion), fine motor control, eye-head-hand coordination, static / dynamic balance, and unobtrusive monitoring of head and body movements during recovery. The operational tasks will use performance on operational (as available) or simulated manual control tasks (e.g., ROBoT, landing, rover) and capsule egress and ambulation (shared with CIPHER Egress Fitness).
Category:
Standard
Subcategory:
New
Description:
The evidence from this task will contribute to gap closure by validating what level of sensorimotor disruption is likely to impair performance on critical mission tasks (i.e. define standards).

Subcategory:
Evidence or Risk Characterization
Description:
This task will contribute to gap closure by providing evidence (likelihood and consequence) for the risk of sensorimotor disruption to impair operational performance following long-duration microgravity transit.
