Aims:
  1. This task looked at the relationship between workload and performance with the goal of producing more effective methods for evaluating proposed designs and operating procedures for space applications. The aims were to provide answers to the following human-system related workload questions:
    1. How to unobtrusively measure workload from a system perspective
    2. How to create appropriate levels of human-system workload through the allocation of work between human spaceflight crew and automated systems
    3. How can the human-system related workload guidance be used in future space flight operations
  2. Developed a tool to assist in workload management across an entire integrated system.

Risk Mitigation/Partial Mitigation: This task partially mitigated the Risk of Inadequate Critical Task Design by providing a survey of workload metrics and by investigating the relationship between workload and task performance.
