Aims:
Aim 1: To determine whether space radiation induces AD-relevant pathological changes in fully differentiated primary hippocampal neurons from CRN8 APP Tg mouse and 3xTg AD mouse models.
Aim 2: To determine whether space radiation induces neurodegeneration and exacerbate AD-relevant pathological/cognitive/behavioral changes in 3xTg AD mice. These proposed studies will specifically addressed many of the critical issues NASA has identified.
