Aims:

SA1: To identify a set of differential vascular and then circulating oxidative protein modifications (OPTMS) in a mouse model of radiation induced vascular injury, and flown.

SA2a: To determine whether these modified peptides are associated with impaired coronary endothelial function in mice.

SA2b: To determine whether these modified peptides are associated with impaired coronary endothelial function in flown Astronauts.

SA3: To determine whether Xanthine Oxidase inhibition can alter OPTM proteomic signatures and attenuate endothelial dysfunction.
