Aims:

Identify metabolomic profiles associated with simulated space flight induced

physiological outcomes.

Identify changes in metabolomic pathways associated with simulated space flight

induced physiological changes by applying metabolomic approaches described in Aim 1 on

longitudinally collected urine and serum samples.

Test whether plasma metabolites have the potential to regulate cellular

metabolism and if specific changes in metabolism may be a means of detecting the risk for or

monitoring the progression of physiological outcomes induced by a simulated space flight
