Aims:
Aim 1: development of practical mechanistically-motivated models, emphasizing individual radiation sensitivity.
Aim 2: estimate cancer-site-specific and consensus quality functions for HZE ions using model-based analysis of our and other NSCOR data.
Aim 3: generate realistic uncertainty estimates for these risk estimates.
Aim 4: critically compare our risk estimates and uncertainties with the current NASA risk projections and uncertainties.
