Funding Status: Active - Currently funded and in progress
Procurement Mechanism(s):

Aims:

Aim 1: Determine the effects of chronic low-dose rate neutron exposure on cardiac function and structure in male C3H and female BALB/c mice.

Aim 2: Assess how Long Evans rats scale to C3H and BALB/c mice in their cardiovascular response to chronic low-dose rate neutron exposure.

Aim 3: Identify similarities and differences in the cardiovascular response to low dose protons and 16O exposure in the mouse, rat, and rabbit.
