Aims:
The aim of this study is to validate an inflight training regimen consisting of both exploration exercise (e.g., E4D device) and proprioceptive training to mitigate post-landing performance decrements. The specific balance training countermeasures will be based on the results of a ground validation using head-down bedrest analog. This study will also implement an assessment tool to address the effectiveness of the inflight countermeasure and make appropriate adjustments prior to landing.
Category:
Countermeasure
Subcategory:
Prototype Hardware or Software
Description:
This task will contribute to gap closure by delivering an inflight balance assessment and training tool to mitigate sensorimotor decrements in post-landing egress performance measures and enhance recovery.
