Aims:
Aim 1: Build coarse-grained Monte Carlo simulations to sample chromatin fiber ensembles for selected epigenetic states based on data from human fibroblasts.
Aim 2. Simulate irradiation of chromatin fiber models and predict DNA break patterns.
Aim 3. Predict and DNA fragmentation patterns in different epigenetic states in IMR-90 fibroblasts and HUVECs after irradiation with a galactic cosmic ray model and X-rays.
